Award-winning Garden Designer in Newcastle upon Tyne

Kathryn of Cedar Garden Design transformed the front of our house with exquisite planting, paving and lighting. When it is admired, we have to concede that we can take no credit!

Her design and attention to detail exceeded expectations, and together with her enthusiasm and efficiency, make a winning combination.

We hired Kathryn of Cedar Garden Design to design a new outside space for us. Our old back garden was tired and upon getting a puppy during lockdown the lawn and planting areas were destroyed in no time. However it pushed us into replacing the grass with a fully paved area and raised beds around our perimeter.

After a few visits from Kathryn and joint suggestions Kathryn went away and came back with a lovely plan including suggestions for tiling, lighting, and a fully drawn-out diagram for the garden and also a planting plan. My wife and I were well impressed with the quality of Kathryn’s work and her suggestions for new plants and shrubs. She also gave us names of contractors to consider to carry out the work.

We finally settled on one contractor Ben Longden who completed a fantastic job in cutting and laying the Italian porcelain tiles we had decided on for our finished design.

All in all I can only say that we were extremely happy with the work provided by both Kathryn and Ben and would recommend both to anyone looking to have a new garden designed. Very professional in all aspects with attention to detail second to none.

We are thrilled with the stunning garden that Kathryn has designed for us. From the outset, she carefully listened to our requirements and then successfully translated them into an excellent design and a knowledgeable planting scheme, carefully working within our budget.

She then advised on the appropriate contractors to tender for the work and assisted us with budget ‘tweaks’. She was available for advice throughout the build programme.

We would definitely recommend Kathryn for any garden design project.

To anyone considering hiring a garden designer we highly recommend Kathryn at Cedar Garden Design. Kathryn listened to what we wanted and how we would use our garden and designed a beautiful garden that complements our home and surrounding area.

The design process from beginning to completion was smooth and Kathryn was always available to answer any of our questions.

We now have a wonderful garden that has certainly increased the value of our house and that we are enjoying every day. Kathryn is extremely knowledgably about plants and her planting scheme is stunning.
